Officially launched by the Cape Breton Partnership in November 2014, Mentor Connect is an exciting program serving the entrepreneurial community in the Cape Breton – Mulgrave region.
The program was built based on the belief that a business venture is far more likely to thrive when an entrepreneur can draw on the advice and guidance of a group of mentors with proven skill and experience.
CRITERIA
Venture must be a company based in Cape Breton – Mulgrave
- Venture should be innovation or export focused
- Entrepreneur must be eager to learn and progress their start-up or company growth based on the advice from a group of mentors
- Entrepreneur must complete and submit reports to the Mentor Connect office on a timely basis

The Mentor Connect operations committee is comprised of a group of key individuals from across Cape Breton Island, who share a common passion for growing and strengthening our entrepreneurial community.
Together, they provide oversight, advice, and support for the successful operation of Mentor Connect. The program has one full-time staff member dedicated to the daily operations of the services.
